City Guide

Enemies surrounded Jericho but no one could pass the walls to defeat the city! The walls of Jericho were infallible. The only thing that could get past them were divine forces. Stop your enemies at your walls with a superior City set up.

Building Levels

“We Shape our buildings; thereafter they shape us.” Winston Churchill

Get ready to Shape your stronghold with your building levels! However, this is strategy to how you build! Let’s take a look! From the exterior to the interior, what’s important? Now with Demigod levels a whole new game has come into play. In order, to even open Demigod Features your stronghold has to be level 1101. To open certain researches your Academy has to be different levels.

So whether, you want to be Emperor, a Demigod Trap, or just safe your building levels come into play and are extremely important.

Teamrealtips Emperor

Strategy

So what is the strategy with leveling up your Stronghold so that you’re stronger than Fort Knox? Go as max as possible or wait? Well let’s look at this from both sides.

Attack and Wonder

If you are an attack and wonder player you definitely want to be as max as possible on your building levels. These building levels will increase your stats and march size. You want to be the most feared anyways so level up that building.

Defense

On the defense side higher level buildings give more defense. So if you are aiming to just not burn, build away! However, with new demigod building levels certain levels are needed in order to attain certain stats. Building stats matter more now than they have in the past. However, the question remains whether or not players will be able to compensate in other places for stats that new building levels give.

Inside your Stronghold

What Buildings should you build? Barracks, Villas, or Hospitals… (oh my)

  • Villas provide attack
  • Hospitals provide defense
  • Barracks provide health

The first thought of traps will be to go for Health and Defense. However, don’t forget that you also need attack to be able to kill your attackers march. There is a balance needed when building your stats. For more information on our defense vs. attack testing check it out here.

The Academy

Academy

The Academy is a crucial building in your city when it comes to Demigods. In order, to even unlock Demigod Research your Academy must be at level 1101. In addition, further levels of research require higher Academy levels. If you keep a low Stronghold build your Academy will not allow you to fully access Demigod Research.

When it comes to troops T1 troops are unlocked with demigod features. T2 require Academy 1110, T3 and T4 Demigods require even higher levels of your Academy.

Banner Stand

Banner Stand

Banners have continued to update and we have several now to choose from. We now have a whole article discussing banners and there uses. You can get a closer look at Banners in the Demigod Dimension Here.

Don’t forget!! You are able to combine banners. It requires 4 banners at the same level to combine to the next level. For example, if you have 4 level 3 banners you are able to combine those to get a level 4 banner. Once you have 4 level 4 banners you can combine them to get a level 5 Banner.

Combine those Banners

Athena’s Armory has been around for awhile. With the release of the Armory the people who never got rid of Gear greatly benefited from the set bonuses that were applied. With Athena’s Armory you do not need to have the gear equipped in order to benefit from it. You simply need to have the gear in your inventory. Recently, the armory was updated to include Demigod Gear Sets. In the table below you can see the bonuses available for your Demigod Gear Sets.

However, this is another feature where cost versus benefit needs to be explored. This feature will not come cheap, however, it is a very useful one if you are able to obtain it.

Dragon Cores

Cores have arrived in the Dragon Dimension and players are very excited to see these, however, to some players Cores are new and they are not familiar with how to craft them without the use of the VIP crafting system. In this article, we are going to break down some of the basics that may have been forgotten and then take a closer look at the Cores that are being offered in Dragonville.

Crafting Cores 101

When crafting cores think of it as cooking soup. You have your pot (your core) inside your pot you are going to put your different ingredients (your pieces). When you are making this you have to consider how your ingredients will mix with each other. Your soup cannot create something that was not already there. Therefore, the stats in your pieces are important to consider before just tossing everything in the pot.

When you enter your forge you will go to craft core equipment. Here you will first encounter your cores.

Cores TabCores Tab

Below the cores tab are six subdivisions of types of cores. Each type represents an equipment slot. The general guidelines for each slot are:

  • Weapon (Weapon icon/Weapon slot)
  • Helm (Helm icon/Helm slot)
  • Chest Plate (Chest icon/Armor slot)
  • Ring (Accessories)
  • Boots (Boot icon/Foot slot)
  • Helm/Sword/Armor (Core Sets)
Pieces

Next, let’s look at the pieces tab. Note that the “Pieces” tab is highlighted, signifying that it is active.

PiecesThere are seven subdivisions under the pieces tab. They are listed below with a brief description.

Pieces Subdivisions
First up the Equipment Bag: All Bonuses

This sub-tab is a catch-all. It gives access to all pieces available in your forge inventory.

Equipment Bag

The subsequent tabs subdivide the pieces based on their characteristics. These guidelines apply to each of the next five sub-tabs: If the specific characteristic appears in the piece in any amount, it will be included under that tab. This means that any piece, regardless of troop type or sub-type, will be included under a specific sub-tab if it possesses that characteristic. It also means that a single piece might be included under multiple sub-tabs. Pieces under any tab are always listed in alphabetical order. Continuing from left to right, these sub-tabs are as follows:

Second, Crossed Swords: Attack

Attack

Pieces with attack stats, regardless of type, can be found under this sub-tab. This includes any piece with Troop, Infantry, Ranged, or Cavalry Attack stats.

Third, Red Cross: Health

Health

Fourth, Defense Symbol: Defense

Defense

Fifth, Troop: Attack, Defense, Health, Debuffs

Attack, debuffs,etc

This sub-tab is slightly different. It characterizes each piece based on troop sub-type. Any piece with any characteristic of that troop sub-type will be included. For example, infantry is the first troop type listed. All pieces with Infantry Attack, Defense, or Health can be found here. It will also include all pieces with Infantry Attack, Defense, or Health Debuff. Pieces will be listed in alphabetical order, irrespective of its characteristics. The order of the sub-types is Infantry, Cavalry, then Ranged.

Sixth, Coins: Hero Attack and March Speed

Hero Attack and March Speed

Finally, Core Set Pieces

Core Set Pieces

This sub-tab contains each of the pieces relevant to creating Core Sets. Again, they are grouped by specific set. The core sets are grouped with the most recently released set at the top and get progressively older (by release date) as you scroll down. However, in the Dragon  War Dimension, this is not currently relevant.

Research

In the Dragon War Dimension, the most important research you will encounter at this time for cores is the Crafting Research Tree. This tree does not open until you reach at least academy 20 and as you go further in the research you need to progressively increase the level of your academy to access more of this research.

The research within this tree that is relevant to cores includes:

  • Helm Stat Multiplier
  • Armor Stat Multiplier
  • Feet Stat Multiplier
  • Weapon Stat Multiplier
  • Accessory Stat Multiplier
  • Crafting Cost Reduction
  • Crafting Luck
  • Crafting Speed
  • Special Gem Slot Unlocks

For more information about this research be sure to check out the Crafting Research Article.

Crafting your Core

Let’s get into how to craft the actual core. Unless you have been playing Game of War for a long time this may be new to you. Many players never crafted cores or if you did, you crafted using VIP craft and are not familiar with how to craft from the base up.

A common question we hear people asking is what’s a good core recipe? However, you can build your own and try out different combinations to get the best stats possible for you. For more information on how to build your gear stats be sure to check out this article.

Step 1: Go to your Forge

First, Click on your Forge.
Forge

Second, Click on “Craft Core Equipment”.

Craft Core Equipment

Then this will open you to your Cores Inventory.

Once you know what stats you are aiming to maximize, pick the core and pieces that have the highest bonuses for your target stats.

At the bottom left of your screen, you will see a button that says “Cores Stats”.

Cores Stats

Click on this button to bring up each stat for all the cores you have.

Core Stats

As you can see, each item that is available for the weapon slot is shown. If you scroll down you can see the others you have. Clicking one of the other categories on the ribbon will give you different choices. First, choose the core you would like to use based on the stats. Stats are key to getting the specific items you want. Whatever you chose, will be your foundation core. Then, click the Add button to add it to the queue.

Next, click the Pieces tab.

Click the pieces stats button and use the same process. First, go through the categories, then scroll through the pieces, and add your pieces. You can add up to six pieces depending on how many slots you have open. This can increase your gear’s stats enormously!

Also note, that you can add level 6 pieces to any level of core, the core is the foundation and the pieces enhance the core. You can combine a level 4 core with level 6 pieces for better stats. Although just because you use level 6 pieces does not change the core to legendary, it stays at the same level even if the pieces are higher.

You can easily delete and place a piece or core back into your inventory to chose a different one if needed.

Check your Stats

Before you craft, be sure to check the stats you will be getting to make sure it is what you want. By doing this you can change the build over and over until you get something that will fit for you. You can do this by clicking on the core that is in the forge.

Stats

Craft Your Core

So let’s say you have a core and three pieces queued. First, at the top of the screen, you will see all the items ready. Next, at the bottom of the screen, you see three buttons: pieces stats or core stats depending on the screen you were last in, an instant craft button, and a craft button to use silver to craft your piece. Either gold or silver can be clicked to craft, it is your choice.

Next, speedups are used to reduce crafting time. Finally, when completed, you see your core and stats and you get an in-game email, with a link to the core you created. It will show you the name and quality of the core, and the stats it contains after combining.

Core Crafting

To help explain it more we have created a video where you can see us working on crafting a core. For time sake we have speeded up this video. However, it allows you to see every step of a core being crafted and at the end a comparison of the core Stats to the equipped gear. Please note that there are a lot of different combinations that can be played with not just the one seen in this video.

Cores in the Dragon War Dimension

Currently, in the Dragon War Dimension, we have some very basic cores. Core “sets” do not exist currently in the Dragon War Dimension. You can get the items needed to craft through Attacking, Events, and the gold Store. However, please note that there are unlocks needed for legendary cores and piece slots that are only available through purchases in the gold store.

UnlocksThe Dragon War Dimension cores are divided into three simple categories:

  • Infantry
  • Ranged
  • Cavalry

When crafting your core be sure to pick the stats you want to enhance and use the correct core on the person you are attacking. Scouting will be important when deciding. Make sure that you use troops that compliment your core. For example, if you craft an infantry core you want to use infantry troops and have any fillers follow suit. One of the best things about cores is that the timers are currently four hours. This is a good amount of time, however, be sure you use your cores when you will get the most value out of them and have a few targets. Many players like to save cores for kill events.

We will be working to come up with recipes to be able to share with you as time goes on, however, get out there and try out your own custom combinations. You never know, you may stumble upon the next great core.

Ancient Gear Guide

$

0

Ancient Gear has been brought back to the Demigod Dimension! Some of our favorite gear from the early years of Game of War have been revamped, and now we can all enjoy a bit of nostalgia when we suit up in Xena, Executioners, or Samurai Gear.

Crafting the Ancient Gear Sets

Collecting Materials

For starters, we will first go through the steps to craft these Ancient Gear sets, as it is completely different than the Champion and Conqueror gear sets.  The first thing that needs to be done is collecting materials. This can be done by buying the Ancient Gear set packs, or you can complete the Bonus Reanimation events.

These events reset each hour and only require minimal cost and effort to complete. Completing each event will award you one Samurai chest, one Executioners chest, and two Xenas Chest. These chests will reward you with materials that you need to craft each set.

 Using the Forge

The first thing you want to do in the forge is to combine your materials to make them the highest level possible. When you go to craft the gear, you will see the gear piece, the materials that you have for that piece, and the chance that it will end up being either gray, white, green, blue, purple, or gold.

In the example above, there is only a 10% chance that the gear would be legendary. The best thing to do is to wait until you have all gold materials, to guarantee the highest level of gear.

Using the Gear Workshop

Now, as many will tell you, there are times we all feel lucky.  We see a 70 or 80 percent chance at a gold piece and decide to try our luck. Unfortunately, we all cant be lucky, and you may end up with a purple piece instead of a gold piece. In this situation, you would then need to use your gear workshop. This is the part that is similar to the other gear sets. You can use the improvement materials specific to each Ancient Gear set to improve the level of your gear piece.

Cost of Improvement:

  • Basic (grey) to Common: 7m
  • Common (white) to Uncommon: 8m
  • Uncommon (green) to Rare: 10m
  • Rare (blue) to Epic: 25m
  • Epic (purple) to Legendary (gold): 50m

At this current time, there are no enhancements or power up levels for these Ancient Gear sets. However, I wouldn’t be surprised to see them released sometime soon.

Comparing Ancient Gear to Champion/Conqueror

The most important thing you can do is to know what you need in your account. Do you need more defense? Could your account use more attack? Knowing what you need is the first step. After that, you can go through and compare piece by piece which gear piece has the most stats for what you need.

For instance, in the Xena Gear Set, the Helm and the Boots have more defense than either Conqueror or Champion fully powered up and enhanced. Mixing pieces have better results than using a full set of Ancient Gear. Most people worry about the set gear bonus being lost. However, remember that the set bonus is in the armory. Even if you mix the sets, you will still retain that set gear bonus if you have the pieces open in your inventory.

In conclusion, these sets are a bonus for all. The materials are easy for everyone to get, easy to craft, and they definitely can boost your stats if you missed any of the limited time gear. As long as you pay attention to what you need in your account, then the Ancient Gear Sets will surely enhance your gear sets.

A Thankful November Giveaway

Happy November! November heralds the beginning of the holiday season and a time to appreciate and celebrate life’s blessings. In Game of War many times, it can be easy to see the negative. We play this game and exist within this community all year long and just like any other community, it’s not always sunshine and smiles.

However, we want to challenge the Game of War community for the month of November. We want to challenge you to find the blessings within Game of War. For the month of November, what are the things we are thankful for?

What is Cinder Thankful for?

I have met so many people in the time I have played Game of War. Some of those people have taught me life lessons and more about who I am as a person and not always in the easiest ways. I have cried, I have laughed, and I have lost sleep but being part of this community will forever impact who I am. In the time I have played I went from a player who had no idea what they were doing to writing articles teaching other players how to play. I have made great friends and lost great friends. I am thankful for the lessons I have learned in this community and for the outlet the game has given me to truly learn what I am capable of doing. However, I’m mostly thankful for the people Game of War has brought into my life.

How it works

  1. Comment below with what you are thankful for
    1. No inappropriate language
    2. Keep it positive
    3. Any comments that are overly negative or do not fit the purpose will be removed
  2. Any player that comments by November 14, 2018 will be entered into a drawing for a $25  gift card to your choice of iTunes or Google Play (please note this gift card is purchased through a U.S. store and may not work on out of country devices).
  3. At the end of the month, you may see your comment in an article on the website.

Player Spotlight

Every month we bring you a new player profile. Some of these players have amazing stories of how the game has impacted them and changed them. We have heard stories from players who have been playing for years and stories from players who are a little newer. We have heard from players who have left and have come back. Every player has their own unique story. Make sure that you are up to date with all of their stories.

Past Player Spotlights

This month we took the time to talk to another player who has her own amazing story. For November, we are doing Thankful November and giving you guys the opportunity to earn a $25 gift card by telling us what you are thankful for. One of the many things in Game of War I am thankful for is this lovely lady, BEllaKira.

I had the opportunity to get to know BEllaKira when I played in the same alliance as her for a while. Kira has a very unique story when it comes to Game of War. She is loved by many that she plays the game with and has one of the sweetest personalities. We had so much fun getting to know more about her and hope you enjoy reading her story as well.

Meet BEllaKira

I am BEllaKira. I’m the team mofo.

BEllaKira currently belongs to the team MoFo. She has been playing Game of War for many years, starting out in Kingdom 336. She talked about the fact that at the beginning she was an “ignorant little player.” While in Kingdom 336, she met Huckster who we did a player profile on a few months back.

Huckster being the lead, he promptly zeroed BEllaKira. At the point when you are zeroed for the first time, you come to a point where you have to decide whether or not you want to continue to play or quit.

This feisty lady was not discouraged but instead used her anger as motivation to begin to grow. BEllaKira grew and eventually, she joined Huckster’s alliance. There, her friendship with Huckster grew and she became his right hand. He taught her to lead rallies and two years later he began to teach her about Wonders.

Finding her Niche

After that BEllaKira became an avid Wonder player and that was all she did. She was king in Kingdom 773 for two years. She controlled the Wonder battles in KvK and was unstoppable. She began to join the best Super Wonder teams. The first team she joined was ONE as support for Ctesse.

After that, she continued on to help in Super Wonder Battles for Bx$ for School Bus and AJ. Wonder is what BEllaKira loves and this is where she found her fun. Playing with these teams gave her a wealth of experience and prepared her for when she would one day have a more influential role at Super Wonder.

Eventually, BEllaKira joined Team 73V. There she began to lead Super Wonder rallies herself. If you talk to Huckster (which we did, keep reading to hear more from him about Kira) he will tell you that he gives a big portion of the credit for him winning the title of Emperor to Kira.

Learning and Growing In Game of War

One thing amazing you will learn about BEllaKira if you know her for any amount of time is that she learned English entirely through playing Game of War. She is from Germany and would need to attend Telephone Conferences as a Super Wonder Leader.

In order, to be able to successfully do that Kira had to be able to communicate with the teams in English. She recalled that at times it was funny was with her German/English. With her love for the game and desire to be able to interact with her teams Kira was not afraid to dive in and learn to be able to speak English. BEllaKira would spend hours preparing the main account, presets, gear, potions and more. However, all of those hours were made worthwhile to her when 73V won.

The best thing about Game of War is…

In the time BEllaKira has played she has had the unique opportunity to meet many people and make many friends. For her, those are the best things about Game of War and the reason she plays.

The friends I met there. That’s the reason I still play. I met so many nice people. Different nationalities. They are great, and of course the best friend Huckster. Well, yes friend 😅. I love him. We are inseparable for five years.

Biggest Game of War Loss

We ask every player what their biggest loss in Game of War has been. For some, the losses in Game of War are in battle. For others, the losses are the people who leave the game. When it comes to Kira the game is about the people she plays with and the losses are about those people as well.

It is sad that I lost a lot of friends because they quit Game of War. It became uninteresting with every update with No more strategies. It’s expensive and just boring for most. I was really sad when School Bus quit. He really was one of the best players ever.

What are BEllaKira’s thoughts on the Dragon War versus Demigod Dimension?

Many players chose to play one side and have their own thoughts. Last month we met KushQu33n who mainly stays in the Dragon War Dimension. For BEllaKira she prefers the Demigod Dimension.

Dragon dimension. I do not really play this dimension. It is so slow. The only advantage I see is that there are more players there than in the demi-world. So maybe more action. But still, I can not get excited about it at all. And….. It splits the players. When our players are on there we are missing the filler in the demi-world. This is very annoying.

Thoughts from BEllaKira

Over time Game of War has evolved and many things have changed. Kira had some thoughts surrounding Game of War and the things she has seen change and the things she at times misses.

I really miss the old Game of War times. I always experimented with Hucky. Made tests. Tried this and that. That is not so today. You do not need real strategies anymore. Only $$$$ for a good account. That’s too bad. As you can see, Hucky has always been the key figure in my Game of War time.

Thoughts from Huckster

You cannot get to know Kira without recognizing that Huckster is a huge part of her story. We talked some to Huckster as he and Kira come as a team. Where you see Huckster then Kira is not far behind. This dynamic duo has worked together for many Wonder events and Super Wonder events one taking over when the other needs a break. We asked Huckster a few questions about Kira and what his thoughts were about her as a player.

What is it like playing Game of War with Kira?

Huckster’s answer here was simple but spoke volumes. It’s always fun to hear about players from the perspective of other Game of War players.

Kira is awesome.

Where does she excel?

Huckster has seen Kira play since the beginning. Their friendship has grown and he has seen her grow in the game. However, when we asked him what she excels the most at in Game of War the answer was not related to Wonder or Attack or Defense but her attitude in the game.

Her biggest strength in the game is that she never gives up… she’s relentless. As an added bonus… she’s drop dead gorgeous.

What makes Kira unique?

Every Game of War player is unique. There is something that makes each of us an individual that contributes and helps to shape the community.

Kira is very loyal, smart, and highly knowledgeable of the game. I would have quit years ago if it was not for her.

Like many players, Kira has brought her own wealth of knowledge and experience to Game of War. She has brought her personality and her love of the game to the community and many are happy to be able to call her friend. The Game of War community is shaped and formed by the players within it and Kira is just one of those players.

We here at Teamrealtips know that there are so many other players out there who continually change and shape the community. Whether you have minimal experience or have been playing for years you help to shape our community and make it what it is. We are looking forward to hearing from even more players as we continue doing Player Spotlights. Who knows who we will hear from next! If you have any requests for us to do a Player Spotlight on a specific player let us know who in the comments below.

Going Back in Time with the Game of War Time Capsule: Super Wonder

The Super Wonder is an important part of Game of War History. This was the most prestigious event, and many players spent the entire month prepping their accounts. There was a place for everyone. No matter if you were a part of a Super Wonder team, or you were just a trap looking for those big accounts to hit you, the Super Wonder was anticipated by all. For this Time Capsule, we will take a look at memories from all types of players, and relive all the excitement.

Group Calls

Anyone that has played on a Super Wonder team can tell you that group calls are very important. They help get everyone on the same page, not to mention its a lot easier to speak on a call rather than type in chat.  While these group calls are essential for planning, they can also give you some good laughs too.

Winning with Nawti Lola and the crew was a huge moment, thats when we had the edge against Tess. I think the best part of it for me was talking to people on Discord. The amount of organizing skills going on while people were chatting and talking strategy was awesome. We would have people talking about cats while other people were planning our attack schedule. Leads talking to Blockers, all of this going on at the same time. Definitely the interaction on Discord was fun. Can’t beat it!

-Destin (dvF)

My best memory was of PJ driving the bus while leading. She was yelling at both the other drivers, and the players. Very colorful language. Also, lots of funny memories of players falling asleep and snoring for HOURS on group calls. Or, worst yet, people that take bathroom breaks with the phone on speaker!

-Tasty Trouble (73V)

The highlight of a recent Super Wonder was when Rage interrupted a conversation between me and Carol. We were talking about skilling the hero tree and all of a sudden I hear Rage in the background screaming “NO MORE TALKING! ITS THE CHICKEN FRIES SONG!!”  We were both laughing so hard and had no idea what in the world chicken fries were. Turns out, he got the name of the song wrong, but now Chicken Fries will forever be our joke, and I believe it even became the name of one of my traps for the next event.

-Rogueness

Playing a Trap at the Super Wonder

Most players think that the Super Wonder is all about the wonder. Most of those players are correct, however, Kingdom 4 is a Trap’s playground. When I played as Trap, I always looked forward to the Super Wonder! I loved dropping my shield, and I was addicted to the anticipation of having a max player set a rally on me. Back then, kingdoms had to wait to become ancient before players could port into another kingdom. So the Super Wonder was the place where you could get hit from all the other big players that were outside your home kingdom.

Like most traps, you port to SW looking for that perfect spot on the outskirts, or find a place next to some lava to make a home. You send out a few scouts to see if someone might follow. I always tried to burn on the first hit. One particular SW, I was ablaze as always. I think at that time I was running t2/t4. I was on fire like always, but my alliance always freaked out. I kept telling them I was ok and I was burning on purpose. Eventually, I had a swarm of leads coming in. I was still burning, but barely. One guy came in and laid the wood to me which made everyone all freak out again. But, I was just a core pop away from capping. I waited until 5 or 6 rallies set on me at one time, and I got lucky that they all came pretty close together. I popped a set and capped everyone. I had six heroes in my dungeon, and then along came their friends trying to free them. If I remember right, at one point I had 11 heroes hanging out enjoying my dungeon day spa. The emails poured in, some were nice and some were not. The not so nice ones were made to wait an hour, and the others I chopped or released. At one point in my alliance chat, they said it looked like I was the Super Wonder!

-BigE (3uRN)

I fell asleep one Super Wonder, and they released something new. Before I went to sleep, I was capping everything. I woke up in the middle of the night to Golf zeroing me because of the new release.

-BadSanta

Old school SW was a traps playground. All of us health traps would port around our lake. We actually named it since we went there every single Super Wonder. We would usually have 10 of us or so. Once one of us got hit, it was game on. Tons of players would port in and just keep soloing over and over while we attempted to heal for every hit. Some guys called us health traps a bunch of “Mickey Mouse crap setups,” so that was our nickname, Mickey Mouse traps. We still have the Line room named Mickey Mouse Traps

-Cheminem

Going for the Super Wonder

The main event in K4, of course, is the Super Wonder itself. Players spend countless hours, days, and weeks getting their accounts ready. Teams, plan blockers, drivers, fillers. There are spreadsheets and schedules to keep everything running smoothly. However, any player can tell you, there are always things that happen that you just did not plan for at all!

I was at the SW with D:V during the time that everyone was using the T2/T4 troop setup. I had millions of T1 that I needed to get rid of. So, when Stay wasnt holding, or we were filling his rallies, I would send like 8 full marches of T1 at the Super Wonder. So, my guys are marching along, Stay is crafting cores, and everyone is happy. Then Stay says “Rally Up” and we start filling and he marches. At that exact moment, a march of my T1 hit the empty SW. Someone had cleared the wonder and I became Emperor for like a minute. Stay started raising hell at me, and I was a little shocked that my T1 were holding the Super Wonder, but his rally was screwed. I started explaining what happened and he laughed and told me to march them at Ctesse instead of the Super Wonder.

-BadJudge (D:V)

My fondest memory of the Super Wonder was the first time I ever went. My alliance leader wanted to go, I knew nothing about it. I just went, and we got ourselves as close to the wonder as we could. We kept moving up and moving up. In those days the Super Wonder was packed!! We actually took the wonder too, for like four seconds. But we got it! And we got the screenshot! It was so fun!

-Pearl (F7R)

My favorite day was in the old days when School Bus won. I stayed up for three days to support him. We had a great team. Bus was one of the biggest wonder players I supported, and he was really nice.

-BellaKira (73V)

Really my favorite Super Wonder memory is when I maxed my account, dropped all my T1-T4 (this is when T5 was brand new), and I went all T5. I looked like a scrawny little mofo. I was actually leading from one of the 73V family alliances, but none of them in that alliance actually knew me. I was front row, and I set the blocking rally. Someone said “hey WTF are you doing?! One of the maxed accounts from 73V is coming to set!!” I was like “yeah thats me!” It was one of the Super Wonders that everyone was losing their heroes. I lost mine, and since I was a scrawny little guy, one of the contenders set on me. They rallied me, and I caught their hero, and everyone was flabbergasted.

TheKrayz1 (73V)

Players who aren’t on teams sometimes don’t realize how exhausting it can be. It’s stressful, both mentally and physically. Even though you get a victory, sometimes it can be overshadowed.

I don’t have any good SW stories. They are long , painful, and exhausting events….I don’t remember them that fondly . My original plan was to be emperor once and retire from the game. Some how I got sucked into being emperor four or five times more….with the crazy cost of game again I may be retiring for real.

-Huckster (73V)

Super Wonder makes Super Memories

The one thing we all can agree on, every player has come out of the Super Wonder with a story to share. For me, in the beginning, when I was a trap, the Super Wonder was a place where I networked.

I would go sit right in the middle of the forest so that a big alliance would rally me and I could cap their hero. Once I capped, an email was sure to follow. I took that as an opportunity to get to know other players. I would try to get as much information as I could about setting up accounts and how to use other players strategies to my advantage. Some of my closest friendships started with me capping a hero at Super Wonder. Later, when I had a lead account and joined Super Wonder Teams, I loved the rush and adrenaline. I loved the math and statistics involved in the game, and I loved applying it to the accounts I built. The tiniest change could make the biggest difference. I loved the rush of changing troops between hits in the Super Wonder.

And last, but this is what I think to be most important, I love the friends that I have made along the way. With each Super Wonder, I was always playing with a group of friends that loved the game as much as I did. We had a ton of laughs on the late night group Line calls. These players are now friends I will keep for the rest of my life. I think that for a lot of us, we gained much more than a title or good report from each Super Wonder we attended.

The Little Things That You Shouldn’t Forget About in Dragon War Dimension

There are so many features and items to keep track of when playing Game of War, it can get overwhelming. This can mean that sometimes the little things can get overlooked and forgetting about them can make the difference between being capped or burned.

In this article, we are going to explore some of the little things that shouldn’t be forgotten when building your Dragon War Dimension account.

Gems

Let’s start with one of the little things that can make a huge difference. Gems are integral to the game and when leveled can add some amazing stats to your build. Currently, in the Dragon War Dimension, the gems that are available are limited but this also makes it a little easier to choose what gems you want to use for your setup. Here we will look at gems that are available and what stats they offer. However, be aware the gems you choose to use will be dependent on what you are able to level up and the stats that you want to enhance for your build.

Gems

  • Infantry Gem- This Gem offers Infantry Attack at level 6 it gives 48%
  • Cavalry Gem- This Gem offers Cavalry Attack at level 6 it also gives 48%
  • Ranged Gem- This Gem offers Ranged Attack at level 6 it gives 48%
  • Health Gem- This gives a Troop Health Bonus at level 6 you get 22%
  • Siege Gem- This gem gives Siege Attack at level 6 it gives 48%
  • Defense Gem- This Gem offers Troop Defense Bonus at level 6 it gives 25%
  • Trap Gem- This Gem increases the attack of all Traps within your City at level 6 it gives 81%
  • March Gem- Increases the March Speed of all Troop Types at Level 6 it offers 11%
  • Demigod Dimension Barrage Gem- Offers Troop Attack Bonus
  • Demigod Dimension Getaway Gem- Offers Troop Defense Bonus
  • Demigod Dimension Cryptonom Gem- Offers Trap Attack, Troop Attack Bonus, and Troop Defense Bonus.
  • Torment Gem- This Gem offers a Rally Attack Bonus at level 6 it gives 25%

Special Gems

These gems are a little different from the ones we listed above. They go in the fourth gem slot which is only available to be opened when you have completed the research in your Craft Research Tree to open them. In order to complete this research, you must be at least Academy Level 25.

  • Prophecy Gem- this gem allows you to embed another Gem that matches the type of an already embedded Gem. By increasing the level of your prophecy Gem you increase the level of the duplicate Gem you can embed.
  • Hades Gem- Hades Gems allows you to apply an “invisibility cloak” to your gear and prevents enemies from seeing what you are wearing. By leveling up these Gems you can increase the level of equipment you are able to cloak.
  • Demigod Dimension Oversmash Gem- This Gem offers Trap Attack, Troop Attack Bonus, and Troop Defense Bonus
  • Garnet Gem- This Gem increases the Attack and HP of all Infantry Troops
  • Topaz Gem- This Gem increases the Attack and HP of all Cavalry Troops
  • Sapphire Gem- This Gem increases the Attack and HP of all Ranged Troops
  • Monster Gem- This Gem Increases your Hero’s March Speed when Attacking a Monster and the Likelihood of dealing a Critical Hit
  • Haunted Gem- This Gem offers Troop Defense at level 6 it gives 25%

Banners

While we mention banners in the Dragon City Walkthrough it is appropriate to mention them here as well. Banners offer some nice boosts that can give you the extra edge that you need. Be sure to combine them to higher levels when you are able to. However, make sure you watch your cooldown times as well. Do not activate your banners until you need them or they will run out and you will have to wait out the cooldown time before you are able to activate them again.

Villas or Hospitals or Barracks?

There is often the debate of what to build more of within your city. Currently out of these three buildings villas are the only one that gives combat stats. However, there are definitely benefits to building hospitals and barracks as well.

  • Villas- these give defense however, they do not begin to give defense until level 10 and the amount is minimal until you reach higher levels of this building.
  • Hospitals– by building hospitals you are able to increase the number of beds you have available for your troops to decrease the number of troops you may lose when you are hit. This is a good setup in events such as KE due to being able to heal quickly and gain points while not giving away points.
  • Barracks- Barracks offer the ability to train more troops. For players who want to train large quantities of troops quickly, Barracks are going to be your best bet. However, for players who go this route, you will be dependent on your troop count to keep you safe.

For more detailed information about these buildings make sure you take a look at a Dragonville City Walkthrough.

Athena’s Armory

Athena’s Armory is another place that is available to get some well-hidden boosts. While this feature can be expensive to level up and get the lower level set bonuses if you are able to purchase the unlock in the Black Market and work towards crafting gold sets then the set bonuses you receive can give a good boost.

Note that if you do plan on leveling this building up it does give a substantial increase in power so be cautious before deciding to take this route. Below we will take a look at set bonuses offered.

wdt_ID Level Benefit Cost
1 2 Unlock Set Bonuses up to Basic 20 Blueprints
2 3 Unlock Set Bonuses up to Common 40 Blueprints
3 4 Unlock Set Bonuses up to Uncommon 60 Blueprints
4 5 Unlock Set Bonuses up to Rare 80 Blueprints
5 6 Unlock Set Bonuses up to Epic 300 Blueprints

Altar Boosts and Prisoner Boosts

Another place you can receive boosts is from your altar. However, in order to receive these, your altar boosts must be active. In order to be active, you are required to execute or have a Hero hemlock in your prison. The benefits for the altar increase as you level it up more. For traps be cautious as a graveyard that is too good could signal leads that you are not a good target.

You are also able to receive benefits by holding heroes in your prison. However, these do not begin until level 30. When doing this the higher the level of the hero and your prison the higher the boost you receive. For example, if you have a level 30 prison and prisoner level 81+ you receive 40% all troop attack. However, if you have the same hero but a level 40 prison you receive 56% all troop attack. Lower hero levels give lower bonuses.

Boosts

There are many boosts within the Dragon War Dimension that can also prove to be helpful. We have everything from basic combat boosts to anti-scout boosts. Each of these boosts serves their own purpose and can be applied in different situations. However, they are all helpful to different aspects of gameplay.

Boosts

  • Attack
  • Troop Health
  • Fake Army- this makes your army appear larger when you are scouted
  • March Size
  • Anti Scout- One of my favorites this keeps your opponents from being able to see what you are hiding in your Stronghold
  • Troop Queue- This allows you to train larger quantities of troops at once
  • Monster Attack- Kill those monsters faster
  • Upkeep Reductions
  • Production Boosts
  • Gathering Boosts
  • Hero XP- Boost the amount of Hero XP you are receiving to level your Hero Faster

VIP

Finally, last but not least we will cover VIP. VIP currently maxes at level 30. VIP can make a considerable difference in stats and give that extra little boost that can push you over the edge. While this feature is one that can be a little more expensive it is definitely not one you want to forget.

VIP benefits include things such as production, quests, combat stats, construction Speed Ups, and more. Below we will take a look at some of the Combat Stats that are offered by VIP and when they begin.

  • Troop Health Bonus- This unlocks at Level 8 and gives a Troop Health Bonus of 8% maxing at level 30 with a Troop Health Bonus of 100%.
  • Troop Defense Bonus- This unlocks at VIP 9 and gives a Troop Defense Bonus of 16% maxing at VIP 30 with a Troop Defense Bonus of 100%.
  • Troop Attack Bonus- This unlocks at VIP 10 and gives a Troop Attack Bonus of 24% maxing at VIP 30 with a Troop Attack Bonus of 100%.
  • Share Combat Report- This is helpful is seeing how other players are built and being able to help Alliance members with Attack methods. This opens at VIP 20.
  • Hero Preset- This Opens at VIP 24 and offers 1 Hero Preset with a max of 3 Hero Presets at VIP 30. This allows for a quick change in gear when attacking or defending. This may be especially useful for Wonder Players who want to swap from Hermes Gear to Combat Gear.

When considering leveling up your VIP be sure to consider how much VIP is in the pack and what that will do for your Stats. However, also note that there is not currently a permanent VIP benefit so you will need to activate your VIP when needing to use it.

The little things in Game of War add up and can make a big difference. So be sure you are aware of what is out there and how to use those little things to your benefit.

Tier 7 Troops Are Here! Learn How to Use Them

$

0

After much anticipation, the Tier 7 demigod troops were released. Although many players were anxious about the cost at release, they are actually very affordable for everyone to open. So, let’s take a more in-depth look at these new Tier 7 troops, traps, and mythics.

Cost of Tier 7 Troops

There is a noticeable difference in the way these troops were released. Previously, a player had to unlock all the research and then could unlock the new tier. However, the Tier 7 troops are able to be unlocked before you complete any other research associated with the new tier. Keep in mind, you still have to complete all the research prior to the troops, traps, and mythics in the Demigod Defense and Demigod Combat trees. In other words, you must have unlocked the Tier 6 troops and all associates researches.

The Tier 7 troops, traps, and mythics themselves are able to be unlocked with just two packs. This was a very big difference from the Tier 6 release, which cost upwards of ten thousand dollars at initial release date. Once you unlock the troops, traps, and mythics, you are then able to continue on with the Defense and Combat Trees. The research and unlocks require T7 research power, so completing the entire tree will take more than just two packs.

Stats Gained from Tier 7 Research

If you are a rally lead or solo attacker, you don’t want to just open the Tier 7 troops, traps, and mythics and then forget about the research. Even traps and fillers will benefit from the added stats. Remember that research is your foundation to a well-built account.

Attack Stats

  • Demigod Attack: 2400%
  • Demigod Type Attack: 2640%
  • Demigod Rally Attack: 2600%

Defense Stats

  • Demigod Defense: 3000%
  • Demigod Type Defense: 3300%

Health Stats

  • Demigod Health: 1200%
  • Demigod Type Health: 1320%
  • Denigod Rally Health: 1300%

Wonder Stats

  • Wonder Holding Attack: 2600%
  • Wonder Holding Health: 1300%
  • Debuff to Enemy Rally Health while Holding the Wonder: 1600%
  • Debuff to Enemy Holding Health whole Rallying the Wonder: 1600%

Debuff Stats

  • Debuff to Attack: 2200%
  • Debuff to Defense: 2200%
  • Debuff to Health: 2200%

If you haven’t already, make sure you are compensating for all Tier 7 rallies by adding more traps and mythics to your meat shield. These troops are really packing a punch. You can check out the recommended build for defending right here at RealTips!

A Game of War Thanksgiving

$
0
0

This month we asked you our community what you were thankful for in Game of War. November is well known for eliciting thankful feelings, so TeamRealTips wanted to celebrate with you in our own special way.

So many times we see negativity in the community but just as often we see special moments. We wanted to instead take some time to really focus in on the things that make this community amazing. I was able to share with you in the original post some of the things I am Thankful for. However, in case you missed the Thankful November Giveaway, I will include it here as well.

The Community

Of course, we wanted to hear from the community too. Another thing I am thankful for is the members of the community who took the time to comment and do so in the spirit of thankfulness. We have left names out of all comments in this article to protect the privacy of our community.

It was great to hear from some of our community. If you are not following us on Facebook you definitely should! Just click here to be linked to our Facebook page.

So without further ado. What were you guys thankful for and how has Game of War impacted you?

This November we are Thankful for Friendships

For some of our community, Game of War is so much more than a game but a place to be able to take a chance to rest and take a time out from the stress of everyday life. For others, it is in the friendships they have made.

“I’m thankful for the friendships I’ve made over the past five years 😍😍”

I am greatly thankful for meeting so many wonderful friends through GOW, many of whom I’m still in touch with and still playing with, so thank you ever so much.

I am thankful for all the people I have met along the way and my alliance that’s like a second family to me.

I am thankful for so many things. I have made lots of friends within the game (as well as enemies) lol. I’ve had good times and bad. Game of War is my go-to game and has been for 3 years now. Thank you Game of War.

This November we are Thankful for the Support from the Community

While we make really great friends while playing Game of War, the next comments are something that I love to see. The friendships we build in Game of War go from friendships to family. People who live on the other side of the country or even in another country become our support systems and oftentimes become closer than family.  We celebrate with each other and we mourn with each other and that is what makes a family.

I am thankful for the friendships built. Thankful for the support given in game and in real life by so many friends during the last five years. The caring and love through my husband’s illness and death. Humbled by whole Kingdom paying homage to his passing.

GOW has given me so many new friends that I know I can call on for help, the game itself is one thing but when you link up with people from all over the world and share moments, help each other even though we never met face to face. Thank GOW for showing me there are still a lot of good people out there if we take the time to get to know each other.

“🙌I am truly grateful for the demi I’m in ESPECIALLY 😍 THE PEOPLE IN IT🙌love y’all ta pieces😘💋03/07/2018 my mom passed away as did a part of me.
😢So filled with loss and rage, the first thing I did was ask for forgiveness for my actions because I wasn’t sure on my reaction to the situation (they were so compassionate and supportive in many ways and times through it). Then the next thing I did was burn everything in sight so I’m also
🙌thankful for a place like GoW to vent and relieve the burden and stresses of real life🙌”

This November we are Thankful for our Alliances

Alliances can make or break the game. We continue playing because of the support of our alliance or leave because we did not make those meaningful connections.

I’m thankful for my alliance that even when I don’t have the money to buy yet another pack they still keep the faith In me. It’s a great family and wouldn’t want to miss them…

I’m am thankful for the new players I met in the Dragon War Dimension side. I’ve played for many years. Thought I knew the game but met new players and wow so much I did not know. Learned a lot in my present alliance smot 420! Many thanks to Smotpoker and all in the alliance. I would have to single out Smotpoker though from the beginning he would always help you in game. And even players that have been crushed by him and or us, help them to learn their mistakes. So yea some kool people.

We are Thankful for the Teachers we meet

So many lessons are learned in the time we spend in the Game of War Community. We are able to appreciate these lessons and hold them even if we do decide to eventually leave. We are taught these lessons by so many people. While some of these lessons are about how to play other lessons go much deeper.

I’m thankful for the friendships I built in the game. The people that taught me how to run as a rally lead. I was able to keep up before all the March size nonsense. I maxed old research and a few weeks later the silly changes started. I don’t play anymore, but I do miss the people quite often. The game was so amazing a couple years ago.

I have never ever played any games let alone online when I first started playing this game I was very shy and kept to myself. You hear about all the dangers of talking to people online.
I have learned to overcome my shyness and realized not everyone tells you a lie, I had to learn how to trust and believe in people that they are willing to help you. I have had more fun playing this game and have even shocked my children because they would have never believed there mother would play a game let alone talking to people online when I would tell them how evil it was. I have taken a different look at life and have met some very awesome people that I would have never met before because how shy I have always been, so I thank Mz for such a wonderful game.

I’m sure, such as yourself, many have met some really special people, made friends, and yes, maybe lost a few along the way. I am very happy to be a part of the Game of War community it has truly helped me to become a better person, in many instances a real leader and most importantly constantly being aspired to the higher levels of inspiration!! BRAVO, to you Cinder and Bravo to the community!!

This November we are Thankful for you

The community is what makes the game. The people are what keeps us going. Game of War has been around for five years and it has had its ups and downs but the things that make it worthwhile will last a lifetime. When it comes down to it this next comment sums up everything we all said,

I am thankful for the community!!!!

At times reading these comments had me tearing up and I hope you all enjoyed them as well. This November we are thankful for you and the time you take to be a part of this amazing community and the lessons you teach us. We want to keep hearing from you too! If you missed out on commenting on Thankful November feel free to keep flooding us with that positivity and comment here!

The New Daily Bonus Club Rewards

$

The Demigod Daily Bonus Club is one release that will benefit Traps, Leads, Big Spenders, and Small Spenders alike. Who doesn’t want free goodies every day you log in!?

Daily Bonus Club Confusion

Yes, we must acknowledge that when the Daily Bonus Club was first released, there was a bit of disappointment once players started to see what the daily prizes were. Each day, the gift awarded was only 300 gold. However, since then, MZ has corrected the issue and the daily gifts are actually pretty awesome.

How does DBC Work?

In order to receive the daily login gifts, you have to purchase a pack that has a Daily Bonus Club token. Once you purchase the token, you will get a daily gift every day. Some of you may remember when DBC was first released years ago and you had to resubscribe each month. This is no longer the case. You just purchase one Daily Bonus Club token and it’s permanent. Sometimes MZ does release a new updated version where the daily login gifts are upgraded. But, if you don’t purchase the new one, you will still continue to receive the gifts from the original DBC you purchased.

What are the Daily Login Gifts?

Once you purchase the Daily Bonus Club, there will be a screen on the right of your screen, under the boost icon, where you can view which gift you will be receiving. The gifts repeat themselves weekly.

  • Day 1: Day one is 100 mystery resource chest! You will get an assortment of T1, T2, and T3 resources. I was very happy to see the first DBC mystery chest! The T1 resources were around 600 million to 6 billion, depending on the resource. T2 resources were around 250 million, and the T3 resources were around 270 million. It was a little odd that the T2 resources were less than the T3 resources, but the amounts are still pretty awesome!
  • Day 2: The second day is a chest with ten trillion VIP points
  • Day 3: One hundred mystery chest with T1 and T2 speedups is waiting for you on day three. I received 3,150 one day T1 and 3,200 one day T2 speed ups.
  • Day 4: Today you will receive one hundred mystery chests filled with Creation Components to use in the Lifetime Boost Hall. I was awarded 41.9 million Athena rewards boost creation components on my first chest for this category. Remember that the Athena Components have been extremely hard to get. Also, it is possible that the next time I open this chest that there will be a different boost component.
  • Day 5: This day you will be rewarded with another one hundred resource mystery chest. This time with T4, T5, and T6 resources. This chest provided me with a very considerable amount of resources. It varied from 112 million T4 Ore to 82 million T5 silver to 64 million T6 wood.
  • Day 6: The sixth day has another one hundred speed up chests with T3 and T4 speed ups. My first time opening this chest, I received 1,425 One Day T3 and 3,900 one day T4 speeds. This is a very substantial amount, especially when you consider you will receive this amount each week.
  • Day 7: The last day has five mystery chest that have a combat boost.

Just to clarify, the first day of rewards are awarded on the first day you purchase the Daily Bonus Club. Then, after you receive the first seven days of rewards, the gifts repeat themselves.

Now Enjoy Your Gifts!

These daily rewards really add up, especially considering that you would be receiving the gifts multiple times per month. The Daily Bonus Club is actually something that I would highly recommend to players that do not spend a lot, as you would be continuously be rewarded with items needed to upgrade. Even still, it is beneficial to both big spenders and small spenders alike. Who doesn’t want to be given something free just for logging in?

How to Survive The Zero

$
0
0

In Game of War one of the most feared things is being zeroed. We could go into the history of this and some epic one hit zeroes but we won’t today. When you get Zeroed you run into a few options on how to respond. And while we spend a lot of time talking about how to protect ourselves and how to trap, the reality is all of us at some point take some big losses.

Recovering from that loss can be difficult and can sometimes feel downright overwhelming. Which is why today we will provide some tips on how to rebuild and handle that moment when you are left with no troops and possibly, no hero.

Seven Steps to Surviving the Zero

You have been zeroed! You have a few choices at this point on how to respond. We know that you are running around looking a little like this…

That feeling when you get zeroed.

Posted by Game of War Real Tips on Thursday, April 7, 2016

However, before you fly off the deep end like our friend there… we have help for you! Being Zeroed is not the end of the world or even the end of your game.

Step One: Take a Deep Breath

We get it, being zeroed sucks! However, the first thing you need to do before you fly off the handle or make any rash decisions is breathe! At about this point it is likely you are very angry or very upset. Whether that anger is directed at the game, the person who zeroed you, or yourself, you need to be able to deal with that.

So everyone with me… Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. Repeat this process until the only red you are seeing are the leftover flames in your city. If the sight of the fire is not helping maybe get someone to one troop you and make the fire go away.

Step Two: Assess the Situation

What are your damages? Is your Hero gone? What kind of resources do you have saved up to rebuild? These are all things you will need to know before you can decide your route to recover. If you are in an alliance that is able to help with resources and other items that will make it a lot easier.

Another thing you will want to look at is who your attacker was and where you can strengthen your stats and build so they are not able to do the same damage to you again. Use this as a chance to remold your overall strategy so your weaknesses can’t be exploited again.

Step Three: Make a Decision

At this point with all factors in mind, you have a decision to make. You can choose to quit or you can choose to rebuild and learn and grow as a player. However, let’s take a closer look at these decisions and what all they entail.

Decision: I am going to quit.

Before you do this I want you to go back to Step Number One. Take a deep breath in through your and nose and out through your mouth. What you want to be sure of is that this is not a rage quit. We have all seen these players, anytime they do not get their way or things go wrong they quit. We know that they will be back and playing the next day but their immediate response is to quit because they are upset.

Decision: I am going to rebuild.

In some ways when you are zeroed it is easy to quit. It is easy to say, well, I have nothing left so I am just going to quit. However, remember that the game is more than that, it is a community. If you decide to stick around, you have the opportunity to keep growing and learning within that community. In addition, here is what really motivates me, anytime someone gets the best of me, I fix it and then I go find them and cap them. Some of the best and strongest players you meet are players who have been zeroed and then chose to rebuild. However, it is necessary to be aware that depending on what you have saved up in your account there may be a cost associated with rebuilding.

Step Four: You Need your Hero

You are rebuilding! YAY! I hoped you would make that decision. However, you have been zeroed and you are going to need your Hero back. Hopefully, at this point, you are ready and able to email your attacker. When constructing this email you may find yourself needing to refer back to Step Number One a few times, no worries, take as many deep breaths as you need (just do me a favor and do not hyperventilate).

In the Dragon Dimension if you are above Stronghold 20 it may be difficult to get your Hero back as the player will likely want to use it for altar boost. However, there is no harm in asking. We have a few steps here on how to ask for your Hero. One thing I will tell you is that as a trap if I cap your Hero and you do not ask for it back, I am going to assume you do not want it back. So always ask!

Steps to Asking for your Hero Back
  1. Stay calm.
  2. Know that it was likely not personal (I mean sometimes it can be)
I have seen emails from people saying things like, I cannot believe you would attack this person. This just happened in their life. Well, first of all, War Game, and second of all, I have no way of knowing this. The only reason I targetted you is that you were there and you looked like a viable option.
  3. When emailing if you make me laugh and are nice I am more likely to release.
  4. When emailing if you are a troll and hateful, well… you are not getting your Hero back from me anytime soon.
  5. Wait to see results.

Example of a Bad Email:

I hope you know that you are a horrible person. Just so you know because of you I have to quit the game because I cannot afford to build new troops. You must not have anything better to do, you’re nothing more than a bully.

Result: Your email gets laughed at in Line Chat but nothing happens.

Example of a Good Email:

So it would seem that my Hero felt the need to run away from home with you. We’ve been having problems… but she seems to have forgotten her sweater. Do you mind sending her home so that she can stay warm?

Result: Hopefully you elicit a laugh from your attacker and get your Hero back.

What to do if the Email does not work:
  1. See if anyone in your Alliance has one of their Heroes and would be willing to do a trade.
  2. Hem because at this point it may be your best bet.
  3. Wait it out.

Step Five: Protect Your Account

Hopefully, at this point, you have your Hero back. Now, you need to protect your account so that you can hang onto your Hero and begin the rebuilding process. This can look different depending on a few factors. If you do not have the resources to begin rebuilding then you will want to protect your Hero and what troops you currently have.

There are a couple of ways that you are able to protect yourself:

  1. Shield.
  2. If you are unable to obtain a shield, then ghost rally your dragon and any troops you may have.
  3. If unable to shield or do a quick rebuild, then only train enough troops to fill your hospital capacity.

Step Six: Begin the Rebuild

Your Hero is home and your account is protected! Time to get working on that rebuild.

Step One: Improve your Stats

There are many things you will need to look at when rebuilding. Including where you can improve your stats. Depending on what dimension you are primarily in this can look different. However, one of the best places to increase your stats in either dimension is your gear. So take a look in the forge and see what you can change up. In addition, check any research that may need to be done. Before you even begin building troops you need to see how you can build your stats.

Step Two: Build An Army

Now that you have increased your stats it is time to start building your troop count back up. If you were limited in where you could increase your stats you may need more troops this time around. However, be sure before you start your training that you have the time and the resources to train what you need. If you are unable to shield you do not want to leave the job half done as this will put you at risk for having to start over at step one again. Do not be afraid to ask your alliance for a training blessing to help you with your rebuild.

Step Seven: Give it a Test

You have rebuilt, now find a friend and test your account. You want to be sure that you do not log out unshielded and automatically end up where you were before. Testing your build is very important if you are planning on sitting around with no shield. However, note that the safest bet is always to keep your account shielded when not able to be online.

Getting Zeroed is something that happens. While it is not fun it is possible to survive and rebuild to be an even stronger player.

What tips do you have for people in the community who are looking to rebuild after being Zeroed? Comment Below and let us know!

A Dragonville City Walkthrough

$

0

Welcome to your Dragon City. While many features are similar to ones that we are used to there are also some unique ones as well. In this Guide, we will cover your Dragonville City and include all the information you need to know as you work on your setup.

We have heard the Dragon War Dimension called many things. Among the community, it has been known as “the basement,” “Dragonville,” “the Toothless Realm” (if you do not get this reference, go watch How to Train your Dragon… now), and much more. Whatever you choose to call the Dragon War Realm, it has sparked many players’ interest. Therefore, Teamrealtips will work to get guides out to you so that you can be successful as you build your city among the dragons.

A City Walkthrough

For this guide, we will be walking through the city and exploring each building and its functions. Some will be familiar, others may be new, but hopefully we will be able to give you a basic understanding of what is going on in your Dragon City.

Dragon’s Den

The Dragon’s Den is one of the very first buildings you encounter when beginning your Dragonville account. This is where your Dragon will reside. I named mine Ruby, so Ruby lives in her Den in my Dragon City.

One thing that most players have noted is that if you are not currently able to level up your Dragon, it may be better to wait to hatch it. Dragon Level Up Crystals are only available in packs, and the higher levels can be costly.

We talked some about the Dragon’s Den in Enter The Dragon Dimension. More information can be found there, but we will cover some of the basics here as well.

Dragon Facts
  • Leveling up your Dragon Costs Dragon Level Up Crystals.
  • Your Dragon has HP (Hit Points), and takes damage like your Troops do.
  • As HP decreases in Combat, Attack and Defense boosts will decrease with it.
  • Your Dragon’s stats can be customized utilizing a skill tree.
  • Your Dragon can join Rallies and Marches and will assist in Combat.
  • The Dragon must be at 100% HP to participate in Rallies or Marches.
  • You can send up to 9 Dragons per Rally.
  • Your Dragon can occupy and defend your Empire, Resource Tiles, Wonder, etc.
  • Your Dragon will naturally heal itself over time while it rests in the Dragon’s Den.
  • Instant Heal Items can be found in Special Sales.

This building maxes out at Level 2. Benefits provided by this building are:

  • Dragon Reinforcement Capacity: 9
  • Dragon March Size: 1
  • Dragon Rally Size: 10
The Dungeon

Every good city needs a dungeon! Where else would the monsters lurk? You certainly do not want them out among the common folks, they frighten easily. The Dungeon is your access point for your Speed Dungeon and your Explorer Dungeon. The Dungeon stays at level 1 and does not go to a higher level.

Speed Dungeon

The Speed Dungeon, we are familiar with. It is where we go to kill our Lightning Shardbeast. This beast will drop not only Speed Up items, but resources, making it a valuable asset to our cities. In addition, there have now been special dungeons added for gems and the black market, so be sure to check out that dungeon as it contains valuable treasures.

DungeonsExplorer Dungeon

The Explorer Dungeon is not yet available. It is there, but is not something we have been able to access at this point. However, if it is similar to the Explorer Dungeon of the past, it will offer very helpful rewards for slaying the monsters that lie within.

Black Market

The Black Market is new to Dragonville. It needs to be unlocked, but unlike our Black Market in the Demigod Dimension, the Unlock is free. Here, you can buy different items for your Dragon City utilizing Black Market coins. These can be obtained through the Gold Store and by participating in special Black Market Events.

Portal

The Portal is where you travel between the Demigod Dimension and the “basement.” It only levels to one and its sole use is to transport you between dimensions.

Portal

Stronghold

The Stronghold is the center of your city. The level of your Stronghold determines most of what you are able to do and what buildings you can unlock. In addition, tapping on your Stronghold will also give you an overview of your city’s economy. The Stronghold in Dragonville currently goes to Level 30.

Stronghold Benefits

Below, you can see what benefits you receive at each Stronghold Level. Certain buildings that are dependent on your Stronghold Level are listed as well, so that you can see when these open.

The Academy

The Academy is where you complete research. Currently, we have four research trees in Dragonville:

  • Hero
  • Combat
  • Wall Traps
  • Economics

Upgrading your academy speeds up your research and also allows access to new improvements for your city. Research does add good stats to your setup, but also gives a substantial increase in Power, so if you want to stay low-power, be aware of the power that is being added by your research.

The War is led by the Hero of the Player who initiated the Rally. By increasing the level of your Hall of War, you can increase the number of troops you can send in a given Rally at a time.

Upgrading your Prison will decrease the amount of time you need to hold your enemies heroes before being able to execute. In addition, by holding Heroes in your prison, you are able to gain additional Attack benefits based off the Level of the Prisoner. You receive these benefits at Prison Level 30.

Marketplace

Our next building is the Marketplace. This building will allow you to send resources to other Alliance Members. By leveling up your Marketplace, you can increase the amount of help you can send your fellow Alliance Member and decrease the tax that you pay when sending Help. If you like to share in the wealth, this building will be a huge help.

Cinder’s Sneaky Tip: One of the reasons I love the marketplace is that if I am looking for an Alliance Mate, and they are not online, I can simply send a march of resources to them and follow the march! This could also be used for other… ummmm… covert missions.

Storehouse

The Storehouse protects a portion of your resources from enemy attacks. A higher-level Storehouse will protect more resources. So if you want to keep your resources safe when you are being attacked, be sure to upgrade this building.

The Forge

Let’s be honest, this is my favorite building. Here is where you will combine materials and craft gear. You can also combine Gems here or collectibles. Leveling up the Forge will give you benefits as well, including Normal Equipment Crafting Cost Reduction, and at Level 20 you unlock your third accessory slot for gear.

Watchtower

The Watchtower warns you of all incoming marches targeting your city and your city’s encampments. Leveling up this building will give you further details as you progress.

Watchtower Details
LevelWatchtower Abilities

15Tells you the arrival time of a March.
20Tells you the Guild of the Player sending the March.
25Gives an estimate of the total troops in the March.
30Tells you the troop types in an incoming attack.
Barracks, Hospitals, and Villas, oh my!

Traditionally we are used to our Barracks, Hospitals, and Villas offering set stats. However, in Dragonville, this is different. Barracks are where we train our troops, but here they no longer offer Health or Defense. Barracks give bonuses for training. By increasing the number of Barracks and the level, you can increase the number of troops you can train at once and decrease the cost.

The Hospital no longer gives Health or Defense benefits, either. The level and number of hospitals you have, however, does control how many beds you have. If you want to set up so that more troops go to the hospital than die, you will want to build more hospitals and level them up.

Finally, we have Villas. The Villas are still for production of Silver, but they also offer a Troop Defense Bonus. This benefit starts at Level 10 and increases with the number of Villas you have.

These are where you create the rest of your resources needed to complete functions within the Dragon Realm. By increasing the level of these buildings, you can increase the amount of resources that you produce. In addition, by increasing the level of these buildings, you can increase your holding capacity for these resources. If you have more resources than your Empire Capacity, your RSS buildings will stop producing.

Gear Workshop

The Gear Workshop has been added to the Dragon Dimension. Here you are able to upgrade your gear using Iron Scraps. However, in order to be able to utilize your Gear Workshop to its full potential, it is necessary to upgrade it first.

This building requires Gear Workshop Blueprints to upgrade. We have put together details on upgrade costs for you to help when deciding on which packs to purchase. The total cost to upgrade this Building to max at 5 is 200 Blueprints.

wdt_ID Level Benefit Cost
1 2 Upgrade Common Gear to Uncommon Quality 20 Blueprints
2 3 Upgrade Uncommon Gear to Rare Quality 40 Blueprints
3 4 Upgrade Rare Gear to Epic Quality 60 Blueprints
4 5 Upgrade Epic Gear to Legendary Quality 80 Blueprints
Athena’s Armory

Athena’s Armory is another building that has been added to our landscape. Here we can receive different bonuses from the sets of gear available in your inventory. By unlocking the different levels of this building you can receive bonuses even if you do not have the gear crafted at Legendary. However, note that upgrading the Armory adds a lot of power and is costly. In order to fully upgrade the Armory, you need 500 Armory Blueprints.

2 3 Unlock Set Bonuses up to Common 40 Blueprints
3 4 Unlock Set Bonuses up to Uncommon 60 Blueprints
4 5 Unlock Set Bonuses up to Rare 80 Blueprints
5 6 Unlock Set Bonuses up to Epic 300 Blueprints
Mercenary Training Grounds

The Mercenary Training Grounds currently houses three Mythical Creatures. To access this content you need to unlock your Mythical Training Grounds. Each of these troops has a specific use so be sure you use them correctly.

  • Dragon Caravan- these are essentially “Super Farmers” best used for farming
  • Dragon Raiders- These have a few benefits including double the speed T1, a bigger load carrying capacity, and 5 times the damage of T1 Troops against Barbarian Citadels.
  • Draconic Legionnaires- These are faster than T4 Troops, Stronger then T4 Troops, and have more health then T3 Troops. They are meant for attacking.
Hero Hall

We also now have a Hero Hall. This is where you are able to manage the Heroes you have in the Dragon War Dimension. There are currently two Heroes available to players here. Hero 1 and Hero 2. We will cover more information on the Heroes in a later Article.

Banner Stand

The Banner Stand has come to grace your Dragon War Dimension City. Currently, there are seven banners available in the Dragon War Dimension.

Dragonville Trapping

Welcome to the Dragon War Dimension. Or, as many call it, Downstairs, Toothless, Dragonville and more! Players have been having some fun in this dimension and it has brought a new level of strategy to the playing field.

The “Toothless” Dimension is a favorite for many players as it reminds us of old school Game of War. Along with it, we have so many possibilities when it comes to trapping. Today, we will be covering trapping in Dragonville and some of the basics regarding trapping. Many players have frequently asked questions when it comes to trapping and we will aim to cover all of those here.

Trapping 101

Welcome to Trapping 101. For a long time trapping has been unique, and a long time ago power became irrelevant to some degree in trapping. However, it is relevant when it comes to trapping in the Dragon Dimension. So there are some basic things you need to know before you start building in this realm.

  1. Power is relevant in the world of trapping again, so there are some basic things you will want to watch that will give you a lot of power when you are trying to stay low power.
    1. Hero Level – Hero Levels give a lot of power: at level 40, your total hero power will equal 2.03 million.
    2. Empire Quests – Collecting Empire Quests will give a ton of power. Before you know it, you can have millions in power just from quests. So while at times the rewards can be tempting, this is something you will want to be cautious about.
    3. Research – Carefully plan out what research you want and need to complete. Research gives added power, so if it is not necessary, do not do it.
Cinder’s Research Tip: Rewards Research does not give any added power.
    4. Buildings – Buildings are another thing that add power, so be wise with building levels and outer buildings. If you can’t produce enough for it to be worth it anyway, then there really is no need to have 20 farms, and they will just increase your power.
    5. Watch your Hospitals – If you want to use hospitals in your build, keep a close eye on them. At level 20, a hospital will give 20-million-plus Hero XP. This will jump your hero level quickly, and cause an increase in power. If you want to use hospitals in your build, consider keeping them lower then level 20.
  2. Know how you want to trap.
    1. Low-level trap – This is a trap that is a low level with low research and power, but high troop levels. This level trap will not be able to fight off high-level attackers, but is a good point scorer when being hit by low level attackers during KvK events.
    2. High-level trap – This is a trap that wants to build to cap the big kids. They will build until they are able to take on the max players of the Dragon World.
    3. Solo Trap – Do you want to take only solos and run from rallies? This will enable you to remain at a lower level; however, be cautious of being caught away with your shield down when a rally hits.
    4. Rally Trap – Rally traps can take solos and rallies. These will be larger accounts and may not get as many hits, but rally trapping is always exciting!
    5. Get Creative – These are some of the more common ways to trap, but don’t be scared to get creative! The sky is the limit, and if it works, there is nothing wrong with it.
  3. Know what stats you need and where you will need to get them from.

The Science of Trapping

Trapping involves some science, as we like to call it. There are some basic stats that you will need to focus in on in the Dragon Realm, and many of these are similar to stats we have previously seen in Game of War. Each stat has its own unique role in trapping, and there is a science to building in a manner that works for you.

Common Trap Problems and How to Fix Them

Problem: I can kill off my attacker’s march, but I am still burning and losing.

Solution: Look at your Defense stats and Health stats. When looking at stats in trapping, Defense will help you to be able to lose fewer troops and win. There are a few places you can get Defense, including Research, Gear (Sentinel’s Gear is a good place to look), Gems, and Villas (Level 10 and up). Health stats can be found in Research, Hero, Gear, and Gems. If you are struggling to find more defense stats then look into adding more troops.

Problem: I win, but I cannot cap my attacker’s Hero.

Solution: In this case, you are struggling to kill off your attacker’s march. You need more Attack Stats. Attack is what helps your troops kill off your attacker’s march. So while many traps just focus on defense, this will leave you lacking. Some of the places to find Attack in the game are Research, Gear (check our Arbiter’s Gear), Gems, and Hero Abilities. Once again, if you can’t add more attack, consider adding more troops.

Problem: What troops should I use?

Solution: Unfortunately, there is a myth out there that certain troops tiers are inherently bad and T2 will send you up in flames like kindling. This is not the case. While that does not mean you should go out there and spam-build T1 traps, it does open up the board for discussion when it comes to this. We will explore troops more below.

Troop Science

We had some help from our friend Cheminem, who compiled the following information! We thank him so much for the time and effort he put into testing to help benefit the community.

Chem took some time to test the different troops. Since we are going to do a little science, we will look at this like a science experiment.

Purpose: To see the differences using different Troop tiers for defense.

Hypothesis: Different Troops will react differently based on their tier to an attack.
Method: In order to control the results of the test, the troop power remained the same for each test. Each defense used 70k power’s worth of troops for each tier. Troops were put in an encampment, and then attacked to see how they would react to each individual attack.

Results:

TestingDiscussion: You can see from the chart above that with each Tier there were differences. For example, switching from T1 to T2 meat reduced losses by a significant amount. In addition, the number of kills went up significantly as troop tiers increased. This means that if you have two traps and both are identical in power, but one is all T1 and one is all T2, the T2 trap will kill even more of the attacker’s march. This information will become more and more significant as players open more troop tiers. Looking at this data, what tier troop would you choose to use?

What does this mean in Non-Chem Geek Speak? There are different factors that we will need to look at here, but if you look at it from a purely mathematical perspective, it makes sense to use the highest tier you have. However, looking at trapping as an art will make us question this, as players with a higher level account may get a reduced number of hits. While you can use lower tiers, you will have to amass more of these to be able to be more effective. It is clear that as troop tier increases, you can kill more of your attacker’s march and reduce your own losses.

Dragon Science

Early on in the Dragon War Dimension, our Dragons felt like more of a hindrance than a help. However, as Dragon levels have gotten higher we have begun to see more and more benefits from them. A City with an appropriately leveled Dragon can actually be a benefit now rather than harmful.

Players are able to use Dragons mostly on the defensive side currently. Some uses we are seeing include the following:

  • Dragons just being there are not the sole reason for burning anymore
  • Dragons help to “cushion” so you do not lose as many troops when taking hits.
  • Being Reined with multiple high-level Dragons can improve your ability to take on your enemies.

As we do more testing and find out more benefits of using the Dragon we will keep this section updated.

Example Set-Ups

As mentioned previously, there are different setups you can use when building your trap. Below, we will give some examples of successful setups. Thank you to those provided me with reports and information surrounding their setup!!

Setup 1

This is actually my own setup. My account is a SH 10 with low research and high troop count. I have focused on a combination of defense and attack stats. My account is built to be hit by solos coming from small attackers, and is quite effective in taking these hits. However, being a small T2 trap, it is not very effective against larger attackers and will burn quite freely to a T4 hit. Here is an example of a successful defense.

Dragon Trapping

Setup 2

The next setup belongs to HungryStick from D:V. He is SH 20 with high research and troop power. As he is well-known in his kingdom, he does not get many hits there, but he does well in KvK events. He uses T3 to defend and can successfully defend against larger attackers.

HungryStick D:V

Setup 3

Our final example setup is from FinsUp in D:V. He has been building to be able to take rallies from large players. He is running a mix of T2 and T3 troops. He gave us some of his reports and we pulled one where he was soloed by a max player.

FinsUpWrapping it Up

Trapping is something very unique to the individual. Being able to take a hit and successfully defend is not always easy but when you are able to be successful it is a blast. Trapping is a bond that many Game of War players share in our sub-community. We have shared some of the science behind it here today, but there are so many more avenues to explore in trapping in the Dragon Realm. What is your favorite part of trapping? Comment below!

New Demi Stronghold Levels and Updated Garrisons

$

There has been a slew of new buildings and new building levels the past few weeks in Game of War. Demi Stronghold Levels were released, the Master Garrison was updated, and now the Training Garrison is back in play. Today we will take a look at all of the new buildings, their stats, and their functions.

Strongholds to 1170

New stronghold levels are not exactly “new” to us. They are released every so often, so we’ve come to expect them. With an increase in Demi Stronghold levels though, that means an increase in March Sizes. This is something that everyone must adjust for. Not only are solo and rally sizes getting bigger, but more attack is added as well.

If you are a trap, you want to make sure you are making adjustments to your wall traps and mythics to combat these bigger rallies. Traps do not always need to increase their building levels. In fact, that could deter leads from hitting you! However, these new levels also offer defense and attack debuff, so it would be smart to upgrade a few levels at least to get that extra defense boost.

Now, if you are playing as a Rally Lead or Wonder account, maxing your Demi stronghold level is important. You want to have the biggest rally size to do the most damage to those traps we were just talking about. Since the game is incredibly defense-heavy right now, any bit of Attack and Defense debuff that you can find, you want to get.

Notable Demi Stronghold Level 1170 Stats:
  • 8,000%  Attack
  • 4,000% Health
  • 12,000%  Defense
  • 4,000% Attack Debuff
  • 2,500% Health Debuff
  • 5,500% Defense Debuff
  • 6,400% Trap Attack
  • 3,200% Trap Health
  • 9,600 Trap Defense
  • 1 Million Troop March Size Increase
  • 500,000 Trap March Size Increase
  • 500,000 Mythic March Size Increase
  • 5 Million Rally Troop Size Increase
  • 2.5 Million Trap Rally Size Increase
  • 2.5 Million Mythical Rally Size Increase

The Master Garrison is Back!

So, one of the biggest questions we hear is “What does the Master Garrison do?” The short answer is this, it provides extra stats. If anyone remembers a year ago, during the “crazy times” of Game of War, you will remember that to the left of your stronghold, there was an onslaught of different buildings. Those buildings were all different garrisons. It was confusing for all of us.

Finally, MZ merged the stats from all those garrisons into one “Master” Garrison. So, there really isn’t a specific function for the building per se, you won’t use it for anything, you just need to upgrade it to get the additional stats. Make sure, if you were below level 10 at the time of the new release, that you check the packs for the Instant Master Garrison Level 10 item.

Notable Master Garrison Level 20 Stats:
  • Trap Defense Debuff 8,000%
  • Debuff on Trap Health 4,000%
  • Trap Attack Debuff 6,000%
  • Attack Debuff 4,500%
  • Defense Debuff 4,500%
  • Health Debuff 4,500%
  • Health 2,500%
  • Defense 7,500%
  • Attack 5000%

Promote up to T7 in the Training Garrison!

The Training Garrison is a very useful, and slightly tricky, building. Let’s say you have a ton of T4, but now you need to use T5 for a meat shield on your account. Previously you would have had to train all new T5 and then dismiss all those T4.

Seems like a waste of resources to just dismiss so many T4 troops, doesn’t it? Well, with the Training Garrison, you can now easily promote the T4 to T5!!  You can also use the Training Garrison to balance out your troops. If you are low on Cav T5, just promote some Infantry T5 to Cav T5 and you are all set.

The cost to train troops is more than the cost to promote troops. The Training Garrison is definitely a useful building. The packs will have an Instant Upgrade Training Garrison to level 100 item to use.

Promotion Levels:

  • Promote T4 to T5 at level 101
  • Level 109 allows promotion of T5 to T6
  •  T6 can be promoted to T7 at level 111

With all the new buildings, there are plenty of places to improve your stats, build your march sizes, and work on your troop composition. The really nice part about it all is now once previously dead buildings have been brought back to life. If you would like a break down of the other Demigod buildings, you can check out the Demigod City Setup Guide!

Demigod Realm Banners

0

Since the release of Demigod Realm, and then Dragon Realm, it can seem very overwhelming to pick which banner is best for you. While RealTips has a spreadsheet listing all banners, this post will serve as an active guide to sorting out which banner is best for you.

Keep In Mind

This is not a list that tells you which banners are the best when defending, or the best when attacking, etc. This is a list of which banners have the best defense stats, which banners have the best attack stats, and so on and so forth. Only you knows what your account needs. Defending takes a mix of both defense and attack. When you set a rally, you may need an attack banner because a rally attack banner just isn’t providing enough attack. So use these as a guide on the stats alone, and not as a guide for which banners are the best for your account. No two accounts are alike, therefore you should not rely on anything that says “one size fits all” in regards to your account.

Attacking Banners

These banners and gems are the best for solo attacks, not rallies. The most important stat you want to look for is the troop, trap, mythic, mercenary attack. Besides the attack, you want to prioritize defense debuff, type attack, and health.

  • The One’s Demigod Regalia Banner
  • Ghastly Wail Banner
  • The One’s Demigod Supreme General Banner
  • Vantage Banner
  • Rampage Banner
  • Victory Banner
  • Dragon War Dimension Dragon Slayer Banner

Rally Attack Banners

When rallying targets, you need, once again, to stack as much attack as possible to try and get through the wall traps. Rally attack adds to the overall attack to make your hit even stronger. Adding rally health will keep your troops tougher.

  • Vantage Banner
  • The One’s Demigod Regalia Banner
  • The One’s Demigod Supreme General Banner
  • Dragon War Dimension Dragon Scale Banner
  • Rampage Banner

Defending Banners

In the Demigod Realm, it is almost unheard of for players to capture a hero. The attack needed to kill the entire incoming march is just not there, unless a really weak account is hitting a really strong account. Attack and defense can both be used to defend successfully.  Back up your attack and defense with health and attack debuff.

  • Helmsplitter Banner
  • Victory Banner
  • Ghastly Wail Banner
  • Reflective Armor Banner
  • Dragon War Dimension Dragons Tome Banner

Wonders can be a little more tricky to figure out, as you need to  both attack the wonder and hold the wonder. When attacking the wonder, you want to make sure that you are using as much attack as possible, so you don’t want to forget rally attack, as well as rally health. These days in game, holding the wonder is much harder than taking it over. You may need a different set of banners for rallying versus holding the wonder. When you are occupying the wonder, you want to make sure you are taking advantage of all the wonder holding attack and wonder holding health. Debuffs for the wonder have been introduced as well. The debuff is potent in Wonder scenarios because the troop counts are equal for both attacking and holding the wonder.

  • The One’s Demigod Regalia Banner
  • The One’s Demigod Supreme General Banner
  • Dragon War Dimension Dragon Scale Banner
  • Rampage Banner

As always, only you are going to know what’s best for your account. Get out there and test your banners to see which one works best for your city!

Defending in Demigod Realm

$

0

When it comes to Demigod defense, it’s been evolving in Game of War. While many assume that defending is the same as being a trap, it’s simply not true. Trapping is the art of appearing to have a weak account when, in fact, it’s very strong. If you are simply building to defend, you are not worried at all about appearing to have a small account worth hitting. You simply just want to make sure you can fill rallies and drop your shield without the fear of being burned by a solo or rally.

In this article, we will go over what it will take to have a safe build, a basic safe Demigod defense account.

Important Stats

Knowing which stats are important when defending is the most important piece of information to have. This will allow you to guide yourself through gear, hero skills, and other areas such as the Boost Hall with greater ease

Of course, we all know that Demigod defense, attack, and health are the most important. Also important are attack and health debuffs. But remember that those are supporting stats, and they affect the attacking player’s troops and not your own. Any stats that improve your troops are stronger than the stats that affect the incoming troops. Having high debuffs will not save you if you have not made sure your demigod attack and demigod defense and demigod health are as high as you can get them. Right now the demigod defense debuff is around 65k, so you want to push to get your defense above that number.

Another thing to keep in mind is the importance of trap stats. Your traps take the brunt of the hit and are usually the only thing lost in a battle. Make sure you have trap attack, trap defense, and trap health maxed anywhere possible.

Gear

Depending on what kind of set up you are using will greatly influence your choice of gear. It also will have a lot to do with which pieces of gear you have leveled up, powered up, and enhanced the farthest.

Because the defense debuff is around 85k, you first want to make sure that you have gear that will get your defense over that DD stat. Then, add in pieces that have a lot of attack to help kill more of the incoming march. Some of the attack pieces will also have attack debuff in them as well, so those are beneficial in more than one way.

Since the release of the new Ancient Gear Sets, it’s now easier than ever to catch up if you missed any of the Champion or Conqueror Set pieces. The new sets, Xena, Executioner, and Samurai, are permanent gear sets that max at legendary (gold). The materials can be obtained through chests in packs, or by completing the Bonus Reanimation Events that reset every hour. The Xena is defense gear, the Executioner Set is solo attack or defense debuff Gear, and the Samurai Gear is for rally attack. Mixing these gear pieces with the Champion and Conqueror sets produce very good results as well. Keep in mind that the Set Bonus comes from the armory. As long as you have a full set in your inventory, you will get the set bonus, no matter if you have the gear equipped or not.

To get more details on gear, RealTips has two more detailed articles to help you with your selection of Gear and their Stats

Troop Composition

This is a highly debatable subject matter, as well as highly diversified. But keep in mind, your troop build will be directly related to your stats. If you have higher stats that are closer to max, then you can cut your troop count down farther than most. However, if you’re stats are average to below average, you will need extra troops to help you take those hits. Keep in mind, this is a general recommendation for most players to build safe to take hits. We recognize that there are many possibilities to choose from, especially if you like to play different styles, but this is the most general setup recommended to not burn.

Building to Not Burn

First, using t4 as a meat shield is no longer suggested. The amounts that you would need to build would be very costly and would increase your power exponentially. The cost of building the t4 needed to not burn could be put to use in other areas.

T5 is the most efficient tier to use for building your meat shield. Currently, you will need at least a billion t5 traps and 250million t5 mythics to not burn for a t7 rally. If you are going up against a notorious maxed account, they may even need more. Many players are also choosing to go all t6 troops to keep power low. This is an expensive build, but very effective. If you have the means to do it, then go for it!

Hero And Hero Skills

Which Hero you use will greatly depend on the levels of the heroes you have open. Just because you have the new Beryl hero will not mean that it’s the best one to use, especially if it’s not level 85 or above. That seemed to be the point at which the Beryl had higher stats than the Blue Knight.

Like discussed in the Stat section above, you want to first skill your demigod attack, demigod defense, and demigod health. After that attack debuff and health debuff would be important. Finally, make sure you skill the individual type attacks and type defenses.

What About Mercenary and Dragon Realm Stats?

Many ask about the Dragon Realm stats, Whirlpool, Gushing Lava, and Desert Storm. These are actually type stats in themselves. Whirlpool is the same as Waterlord, Gushing Lava is Firelord, and Desert Storm is Thunderlord. These type stats have been tested and are about one fifth the strength of the normal type stats. So unless you have plenty of extra skill points, don’t worry about putting skills in these spots.

Lastly, mercenary skills are also often questioned. We tested multiple times with the berserkers and even having banners that multiplied the berserker stats. None of the RealTips tests showed a change in the outcome when we skilled both mercenary defense and mercenary health. The Mercenary Attack did have a slight kill increase, although priority would definitely go towards Type attack over mercenary attack.

Banners and Gems

Banners and Gems are a great place to add what is missing. If you feel your account needs to kill more incoming troops, then use the banners that have the most attack. If you think you need to save more of your troops from being killed, then stack defense and attack debuff in gems and banners. You can quickly look at the banners and gems at RealTips previous posts on each of these topics!

Check our post on Demigod Gems here

Information about Demigod Banners is here.

Miscellaneous Information

Research- You want to do as much research as possible. Power gained from doing research is not anything to be concerned about any longer. Besides your gear, your research is your most powerful tool. Get in that academy and get to work!!

Lifetime Boost Hall- We can not stress the importance of this building enough. Although the stats seem small, they do all stack and will add up to a significant amount. Think about the stats we have discussed in this article, and then figure out what you think your account may be missing. This is one of the places where you can really get the Trap specific stats built up.  Use this boost hall to your advantage!!

VIP- Vip doesn’t necessarily need to be maxed, as this can sometimes defer leads from hitting you. If you are building a trap, then just upgraded little at a time. If you are just building to defend without burning no matter what it takes, then go ahead and get your VIP as high as you want.

Special Buildings- The special buildings are very important. These can be leveled as high as you can get them, and as long as you run Anti Scout, no one will know if you have them maxed or not. Some buildings to focus on leveling first for defending :

  • Black Market– Demigod attack, Demigod defense, and Demigod health
  • Alchemy Lab– trap attack and attack debuff
  • Speed Up Treasury– trap defense
  • Gear Workshop– empire defender demigod attack
  • Archeology Hall– empire defender demigod defense
  • Mausoleum– empire defender demigod health

While many players have found their own little tricks to the game, this is sure to be a safe demigod defense build for any player. Always keep in mind that as new releases come out, you want to increase your defense and also increase the number of traps and mythics you use for your meat shield. December has begun and with the commencement of the month, we are bringing you our next Player Spotlight. We are lucky enough to have a diverse community in Game of War that brings a lot of talent and personality to the table. Over the last few months, we have had the opportunity to get to know some unique players.  If you have missed any of these spotlights they are definitely worth a read.

Past Player Spotlights

Emperor Huckster

The Tiny Fighting Trap

Rogueness

Player Spotlight: WolfofOne001

Player Spotlight: Rage

Player Spotlight: KushQu33n

Player Spotlight: BEllaKira

This month we are featuring a player who brings a lot to the community. Many may have met this guy in our Line rooms or in-game, but do you really know who he is? Some of you may have heard of the Oracle rooms in Game of War. These rooms if you do not know are run by the 420 Alliance and exist for the sole purpose of educating players on how to not only play the game but excel.

The leader of that amazing alliance (I may be a little biased) is SmotPoker710. This is a player who has no qualms about zeroing you one moment and then turning around and teaching you how to build back stronger the next moment. This month we will be featuring him and his time in GOW.

Meet SmotPoker710

SmotPoker710 is the leader of the Alliance 420. He is also the person that many look to for answers when they have questions. His name, while it fits him well, was not his first choice. However, it is pretty close.

The name I use in the game is SmotPoker710 because MZ would never release SmotPoker to me 🙁
SmotPoker first downloaded the game on his Kindle Fire in April of 2014 and was taken to Kingdom 508 which was an all Kindle Kingdom named Kinley. There he joined up with the Alliance, RaJ, Roman Angels. Eventually, he took over the Alliance and became the leader and never left.

The Help Rooms Begin

SmotPoker’s first month in the game, he decided that he wanted to teach everyone in the Kingdom how to Ghost Rally. In order to do this, he created a chatroom called Kinley Help and began to read a lot of tips online in order to be able to teach his Kingdom.

In order to do this, he would host Training Parties and Seminars. Who would not want to party with SmotPoker? In addition, for KvK events he created a “Multi Alliance Alliance.” This was so that big players from all Alliances could join as one and conquer KvK events together.

The 420 Alliance

One of the things that SmotPoker loves the most about 420 are the tags.

I feel our greatest accomplishment was securing the 420 alliance tags. I have been offered money for them twice.
While 420 has never had a lot of big spenders and not enough to go for Superwonders they have always taken pride in who they are. The Alliance 420 has no rules or Alliance and enjoy attacking anyone and everyone they can. It is not uncommon to see one member lose their Hero and other Heroes to quickly follow in that route. They burn as a team and get capped as a team.
Both in the Demigod and Dragon War Dimension 420 has been a powerful force in helping the community understand how to play and protect their strongholds without spending a fortune. They run an in-game chat room called “The Oracle” in both the Demigod and Dragon War Dimension. Since the inception of the Dragon War Dimension, SmotPoker has not thought once about going back to the Demigod Dimension.

What is he wearing?

What gear you equip your Hero with says a lot about who you are as a player. SmotPoker’s gear labels him as Lead looking to defend when offline. His clothing in the Demigod Dimension shows that he is definitely a player wanting to chill in the Dragon War Dimension.

What am I wearing: Dragon Realm: Arbiters when offline, and
Assassins when online. Demigods: Shielded at the 717 Wonder.

The Memories

The game comes with wins and losses. However, some of our best memories are often those of the wins we earn on the battlefield. SmotPoker has had his own share of wins but the one that stands out to him the most was from a merge battle for Kingdom 508.

Most memorable win: I won first place as did 420 in the Kingdom merge event for kingdom 508.
In addition, like many of us, he has memories from the battle that have been fought. His best memory is one that I lived many times and often ruined my graveyard because I did not wake up!
Best memories: Waking up in the middle of the night being rallied because I had fallen asleep during a KvK battle.

SmotPoker’s Advice to Players

I love hearing the advice that other players have to give. Every single player within the game has their own strengths and weaknesses and we can learn from each one. As with the advice we have gotten from other players, I love the advice we got from SmotPoker.
Join every help chatroom you can, read as much as you can online, test everything. Knowledge is power. Play the game and don’t cry about being attacked, expect it and prepare for it.
He followed up this statement with an invitation for all players to join the in-game Oracle Chatroom.
If anyone wants in the oracle help chatrooms feel free to message me in game and I will send an invite.

Demigod Vs Dragon War Dimension

We heard some from SmotPoker on his view between the Demigod and Dragon War Dimension. It’s interesting to see the different perspectives as we see players that love each side and the reasons behind their preference.
Demigod world has gone to crap. Dragon Realm has some hope, It is fun to play. Anyone can be a lead or a trap. I’m excited to see how things progress in the Dragon Realm, and I hope to see everyone on the battlefield.

Beta Testing SmotPoker

SmotPoker has had some amazing experiences in his time playing Game of War. Some of those experiences have been the opportunity to do things such as beta testing. SmotPoker actually had the opportunity to Beta Test Alliance City Battles back in the day and provided us with some Screenshots from that experience.
This may be a throwback for some of you old school players who remember when Alliance Cities first came out and the buzz around them. Unfortunately we never saw the day when this became a reality but all the same, the reports and screenshots are fun to see.

A Word from SmotPoker’s Team

One thing we want to start including in our player spotlights is a word from these guys teams. It is one thing to hear a players story from that player, however, hearing about them from other players can often be more telling.

He’s definitely a go-getter and very driven in the game. If for some reason I can’t find the answer or figure something out I know I can go to Smot and he’ll have the answer, kinda like the Google of GoW.

~Bristal

A word from Cinder

I am excited that I get to weigh in on this one! A couple of months ago I messaged SmotPoker and said, hey, you got room for a small mostly effective trap? His response was that there was always room for me in 420. I joined and have not left since that day (leaving for tests does not count). The 420 Alliance Chat is an amazing place to be. There is constant knowledge circulating that room and there is always someone willing to help.

However, one of the things you will note is that the voice you see and hear from the most is SmotPoker. He gathers information and is willing to share it with whoever reaches out for help. He says there are no rules and no allies and while one might believe that would inspire chaos it does not.

SmotPoker is always willing to help a teammate out and is a great person to play the game with. Many good players out there think they do not need help but the best players know that they have strengths and weaknesses and can always learn from others. The best thing about playing with SmotPoker is when he and I disagree about a strategy because it pushes me to test and grow and search for more knowledge.

Wrapping it Up

You will often find SmotPoker lurking around Line information rooms. One day I discovered him in a room after posting a report where he hit me. He is a great player to know with a wealth of knowledge about the game and a desire to help others learn and grow. We loved hearing more of his story and hope you did as well.

We will be bringing you our next Player Spotlight in January! Who would you like to hear from?

How Ancient Gear Enhancements Can Help Your Game

$

Ancient Gear sets have been a huge help for many players. The gear is easily obtainable by almost every level of spender, and it has not felt as overwhelming as the Limited Time gear when it comes to setting enhancing. So let’s go over each one of the Ancient Gear Enhancements and their stats.

Set Gear Levels Vs Gear Set Bonus

There has been a lot of confusions and questions surrounding both of these Ancient Gear Enhancement categories. Lets clear some of that confusion up.

Set Bonus Then

Players that were around at the beginning of the game will recall that set bonus was completely different. You would craft a set and then spend time “spinning’ for the 5 piece or 7 piece Set Bonus. Players would all have a different set bonus amount determined by how many times they spun the set bonus and how much luck you had on any given day.  All the pieces of gear had to be maxed, which is Legendary, and you got the 5 piece bonus if you had five gold pieces. The 7 piece Set Bonus came if you had a full seven Legendary set. Also, you had to be wearing the gear for the stats to apply.

Set Bonus Now

There are a few noticeable changes to set bonuses. The first being that you no longer spin to get the highest possible set bonus. It is a set amount that is the same for all players. Secondly, and thanks to the armory, you DO NOT have to be wearing the gear. As long as you have either 5 or 7 legendary gear pieces in your inventory, you retain the set bonus for that gear. The set bonus stats are viewed in Athena’s Armory.

Set Gear Leveling

The set gear Leveling is a category of Ancient Gear Enhancements that is found in the gear workshop. Each gear has its own set gear leveling stats. You DO have to be wearing the gear for these stats to apply, and all the pieces must be maxed as well.

Demigod Xena Gear Set

This set is stuffed full of defense for Traps and Rally Fillers alike. Not only is there an abundance of defense, but there is attack and attack debuff too. If you look in the armory you will see that there is actually more attack given for the Set Bonuses in Xena. Also, the set gear leveling adds more attack debuff to take off some off the bite from those incoming attacks.

Samurai Gear Set

The Samurai Gear set is the Rally Attack Gear. It has both attack and rally attack in the base stats for each gear piece. However, you will also notice that when you power up pieces of this gear, it adds wonder stats. In addition to powering up the gear, the Set Gear leveling adds in stats associated to the wonder as well.

Wrapping it up and Connect with the Community

With these enhancements, the one thing you need to pay attention to is that they all use the same materials to upgrade each enhancement. Make sure you pick and choose wisely which gear piece to improve and power up and which set to level first. Facts about your Beryl Warrior Hero:

  • Currently the stats on this hero are somewhat lacking, however, like previous heroes we can expect these to improve as the Hero Level is increased.
  • One of the biggest uses from this Hero right now will be for RSS Reduction for Combat and Defense Research

Hero Level

Let’s look at Hero levels from each side:

Attack and Wonder

As a lead player, you want your hero to be the highest level possible. Hero levels give great boosts in attack and health.

Defense

If your goal is just defense so that you can unshield, your hero should definitely be leveled as high as possible. However, many of us old-school traps know that there used to be more strategy regarding whether or not you level up your hero. We are left wondering if, with Demigods, some of this strategy will return. For traps, hero level used to be key because if your hero level was too high, leads would not hit.

All of these need to be taken into account when choosing whether or not to level your hero:

  • Is the cost of this feature realistic for me?
  • Are the stats worth the possible decreased hits due to hero level?
  • If I choose not to level up, where else can I get stats that I am missing from hero levels?

Skilling of the Hero Tree

Skilling is no longer as simple as it was with previous heroes. We do not have massive amounts of skill points to allocate wherever we want, and it is not cut-and-dry “start at the bottom and work your way up.” Your points need to be very well-planned.

Things to Consider when Skilling:

  1. In order to put just one point in the bottom skill, you must use 24 points.
  2. Just because you unlock a box doesn’t mean you can max that skill; you must be a certain hero level to max the skill.
  3. Points are very limited at first, then you should look out for packs that include additional hero skill points for each hero
  4. Hero Gear Presets do not open right away for each hero and are included in VIP
  5. Hero Skill Presets are added later, and are a VIP feature as well

There are multiple factors to consider when skilling your hero. On the defense and attack side, skilling for attack will be very important. Here at Teamrealtips, we recommend skilling using a setup even the current Emperor, Huckster (73V) uses!

The theory with this skilling setup is that you provide max protection for your traps, which die first and max attack for traps because they are a huge factor. You want your points for trap defense and attack as high as possible and then use any leftover points in a troop attack slot. Attack is currently important for defense players, as it allows them to kill more of their Attacker’s march.

With the increase in troop counts, troop defense is now just as important, as is troop health. You do not want to waste skill points for mercenary skills. Skip those all together.

Which Hero

With the multitude of Heroes, at times choosing the right hero to use can be difficult. We have created a table for the heroes so you can look at a side-by-side comparison of their stats. We will look at Combat Stats and Economy Stats. The number in the table is what the Hero offers at max skilled level. So be aware that, depending on your Hero Level, you may still need to make adjustments for yourself.

The Other Heroes

WIth Demigods resetting the game, are all of those other heroes irrelevant? Mostly, but not completely. If you plan on hitting any monsters, your Demigod Hero has no skills for this, so using your original hero is best for this function.

Bait traps! Toss your old hero on with old gear and swap that hero! With the expense of gear presets for those who love bait trapping, this brings a whole new level of strategy.

Dont forget to switch to your original hero when you are powering up gear in the Gear Workshop! Make sure that the “Power Up Efficiency” tile is fully skilled in the Novice section of your hero skill tree. This drastically reduces the amount of materials you need to power up your Demigod Gear!

We have heard of many other uses for your Hero out there. So be sure to check the Eco stats on your Original Hero and see how it can help you.

Hero Garrison

While the Hero Garrison is still in your city there is currently no demigod stats included here. Therefore, this is a feature you do not need to factor into your calculations.

Equip Your Hero

Gear

Now that your trees are skilled, equip your hero with the best gear possible. For a list of the best gear, check out our Gear Guide.

New Ancient Gear Sets have also been released, and are reminiscent of our favorite pre-demi gear sets. Get info on the gear and the enhancements!

With the massive update, your hero will need to be at the top of his game to survive. Do you have what it takes?

Kill is coming! It is a cry that echoes through the Kingdom! Everyone in Game of War loves a good Kill Event. It is an opportunity to test your abilities against players that you would not otherwise encounter. However, are you prepared for the battle at hand? Will you conquer your enemies or crash and burn in flames?

TeamRealTips is here to walk you through a Dragon War Dimension Kill Event and how to be sure that you are the one that conquers! We have some basic safety tips for you and ways you can be sure to find the best targets.

Three Steps to Dominating a Dragon War Dimension Kill Event

We have three steps to help you begin to dominate in Kill Events. From starting at home to points calculations prepare yourself for a quick Kill Event tutorial.

Step One: Winning Starts at Home

Typically before a Kill Event, we know it is coming. The blogs announce the upcoming event and as players, we begin to prepare to war the invading kingdoms. In order to be able to win the upcoming battle, you need to prepare your kingdom. There are several ways that you are able to do this.

  1. Educate Your Kingdom-Work with Traps and Leads in your kingdom to educate them on what is a good target and what is not.
  2. Build up your Resources– Ensure that you are saving ports and March Speeds and Loyalty so you have them the night of kill.
  3. Create a Kill Room for players to be able to communicate on a kingdom basis the night of the event so you can communicate good targets or the need for help. Communicating this information in Kingdom Chat can be detrimental as Outlanders are able to see this chat.
  4. Kill Each Other– Kill each other up until the very moment the event begins. Hitting each other help players to be able to learn what their limitations are. While many kingdoms enforce NAPs and other rules regarding attack these are also Kingdoms that do not know their own limitations when Kill Events roll around.
  5. Work Together- Here is what many kingdoms struggle with. A kingdom versus kingdom event is not won by one alliance. A kingdom that can kill each other and then turn around and work together is going to be a kingdom that is difficult to beat.
  6. DO NOT HOLD EACH OTHER’S HEROES- When it is not Kill hold away. However, do not take a player that can contribute out of the running during the event. No matter how much you dislike Billy Jo Bob over there if he can help the kingdom let him. Next time you cap his hero do whatever you want but for kill work together.

A Kingdom that Kills Together Stays Together

Step Two: Get to Scouting

Finding targets is key in Kill Events. While Wonder holding does accumulate a lot of points that is limited to the player that is actively holding. So the other players need to get out there and Kill, Kill, Kill. Typically shortly before the event begins points and the kingdom you are against is released. Use this time to begin looking around opposing kingdoms. Due to the cost and lack of teleports you want to be sure to look for hives with a few viable targets.

Active Target Looking

There a couple of ways you can look to see if a player is active. The most obvious is watching for activity such as gear changes, loyalty amount changes, and incoming and outgoing marches. It is difficult to do this by looking at power. Because of Quest Power, you can have a player who is effectively trapping at 9.5 million and other players who are zeroed at 100 million plus.

Scout

However, the screen above can give us a lot of information. First of all Loyalty, a player who is active is going to be accruing Loyalty, however, this is not always accurate as some players may use it as soon as they have it. However, this is not a bad place to look especially because if they are actively online and pushing help for their alliance or doing alliance help you will see their Loyalty amount increasing.

The next place you can look is VIP. A player with active VIP is very likely to be an active player. With no permanent VIP currently being available if VIP is on you know they have logged in recently. The final place to look at is the Player’s kills. A player with a low level of kills may not have troops or be active. However, players with a higher level of kills, especially the player in this example are more obviously active players.

Step Three: Familiarize yourself with the Points System

Knowing the scoring as a Lead and a Trap is essential. Just because something burns that does not always mean that you are scoring good points. Let’s take a look at the scoring system and what a good burn versus a bad burn looks like.

KvK Scoring System Based off of December 1, 2018, Battle Royale Kill Event
wdt_ID Action Points Given
1 Hold Opposing Wonder as Conqueror for one Second! 1.000
2 Kill 1 Outlander Tier 1 Troop(s)! 5
3 Kill 1 Outlander Tier 2 Troop(s)! 10
4 Kill 1 Outlander Tier 3 Troop(s)! 20
5 Kill 1 Outlander Tier 4 Troop(s)! 35
6 Kill a Draconic Legionnaire Mercenary Troop 35
7 Kill 1 Outlander Tier 1 Trap(s)! 1
8 Kill 1 Outlander Tier 2 Trap(s)! 2
9 Kill 1 Outlander Tier 3 Trap(s)! 5
10 Kill 1 Outlander Tier 4 Trap(s)! 10

For every second a wonder is held you receive 1,000 points. Making holding Wonder very important. However, only the person holding gets those points so the rest of your team will need to find points elsewhere. Let’s get killing.

The Math

Here we are going to take a closer look at some reports and the points associated. Note that according to the scoring system no points are given for Dragon HP lost or Troops Hospitalized. So players with a good Dragon or high bed capacity may not give up as many points as other players.

Good for the trap, not so good for the lead

This first hit we are looking at is an example that gave great points to the trap that was involved and no points to the lead. This hit was taken by a 9.5 million power trap. The lead was a stronghold 40 who at the time was wearing cores.

Example Hit

The Trap in this case obviously burned. However, if the lead was paying attention they would note that continuing to hit this target is a bad idea. While the Trap Player burned they lost no troops. In this scenario, the Trap received 1,202,075 points by killing the lead players Tier 4 Troops and the Lead received 0 points for this hit.

Not So Obvious

While the hit above is a little more obvious there are instances where it is not as obvious unless you are paying attention. To that end, we have some more screenshots and math for you. The following player was rallied. A less observant player may continue to hit in this circumstance not realizing they are giving up more points then they are receiving.

Report

At first glance, it appears this report is a good one. A Lead player who does not take the time to do the math or really look at the report might continue to hit this target. However, let’s take a more in-depth look.

Back of the report

The Lead, in this case, killed only Tier 2 Troops and Tier 3 Traps. Let’s do the math.

First, we are going to calculate the Leads Score.

Tier 2 Troops at 10 Points

187,956 x 10= 1,879,560 Points

Tier 3 Traps at 5 Points

538 x 5=2690

Add These totals together

1,879,560 + 2690= 1,882,250 Points Scored for the Attacking Team

Next we will calculate the opposing Player’s score.

Tier 3 Troops at 20 Points

52,753 x 20= 1,055,060

Tier 4 Troops and Draconic Mercenaries at 35 Points

34,805 x 35= 1,218,175

Add the totals for the Tier 3 and Tier 4 together

1,055,060 + 1,218,175= 2,273,235 Points Scored for the Defender

What looked like a clear win for the Attacker actually gave more points to the Defender and in the end more points to the opposing kingdom. Now if you do not care about points and just want to kill this would be a good hit. However, in this circumstance, the Attacking Team is losing more points by continuing to attack this player.

Making the Math Simple

Now that I have probably overwhelmed all of you with the numbers let’s break this down some more. In a Kill Event, the last thing you want to do is sit with Game in one hand and a calculator in the other (even though I actually have done that before). So how do you look at a report and know whether or not you should continue to hit?

  1. Remember not to look at the total at the top. Dragon HP and hospitalized troops do not give points so you need to look at the back of the report for the breakdown of what tier you are killing.
  2. If you are killing troops on the same level it is a 1:1 ratio. For example, if you are killing T3 with T3 as long as more of their troops are dying then yours then you are good to go.
  3. In the case, you are hitting with T3 and killing T2 you essentially need to kill double of their troops.
  4. If you are hitting with T4 and Killing T3 you need to Kill close to double of what they are killing but not quite.
  5. If you are hitting with T4 and Killing T2 you need to kill 3.5x of their troops as they are killing of yours.

There are so many things that can help in making sure that you are ready and able to dominate any upcoming Kill events. Make sure you check out our other articles for quick tips to help you dominate in your next Kill Event.
